Course Map

The course is composed of modules as shown in the Course Map. It provides a high-level overview of the syllabus and structure of IOM 445 and illustrates the sequence of sessions using the three layer IS-Enabled Business Framework. Sessions have been organized to help students learn how to systematically translate information technology (IT) capabilities into a specific, strategic information systems (IS) solution. In this process students will be introduced to IS architectures and economics and software development life-cycle (SDLC) concepts.

The course schedule provides an outline of key events and dates, as well as a preliminary breakdown of the course content into class sessions. Adjustments are possible. Depending on the level of student interest to different course components, more or less time may be spent on a specific topic. So it is possible that the content of class sessions may differ on what follows.
